Reviewing Manual Interviews

When your team runs a Video or Phone interview step, everything the interview produced comes back to one place on the candidate's record: the recording, the notes, and the transcript, stacked under the node they belong to. You watch, read the assessment, and check the exact wording without leaving the page.

Open the candidate, find the interview step in their report, and the review surface is right there.

What you get

The recording. Plays inline, video or audio. Zoom recordings of audio-only interviews and phone calls come through as audio, and they behave the same way.

The notes. Whatever the interviewer wrote up, rendered as formatted text rather than a wall of plain characters, so headings and lists in a structured write-up survive.

The transcript. The verbatim record of what was said. Click any moment in it and the recording jumps to that point and starts playing, which is the fastest way to check a quote you are not sure you read correctly.

Badges at the top tell you the state of things at a glance: whether the candidate joined, and whether the recording is ready or still processing. A recording that is still being prepared says so rather than showing an empty player.

The surface renders whatever exists. An interview with no video, no notes, or no transcript still opens and explains what is missing, instead of disappearing from the record.

Use Download transcript to take it with you. Two formats are available:

PDF, formatted for sharing with a hiring manager or attaching to a decision.
TXT, plain text for search, diffing, or pasting elsewhere.

Who can see what

The transcript is verbatim candidate speech, so it is treated as candidate personal data:

Inside the app, reading or downloading a transcript needs the same permission as opening the candidate record itself. A teammate on a restricted role cannot pull a transcript for a candidate they cannot open.
On a shared report link, which anyone holding the URL can open without logging in, the recording and the notes are shown and the verbatim transcript and its download are withheld.

Before sharing a report link outside your company, remember the reviewer on the other end sees the recording. Share it with the same care you would the interview itself.
